A Collaboration To Be Proud Of

Kit Sponsor

I have been involved with Waldegrave School for some time, volunteering my time in their careers workshop and offering work experience to the students in a bid to give back to my local community. I understand how daunting it can feel for teenagers to try and decipher what their career prospects are, and I’d like to help them to understand how their skills can be transferred to many different tasks within a multitude of industries.

Recently, I have been involved with the school in their sports too as I was chosen to be the kit sponsor for Waldegrave’s football and netball teams.

I’m a huge advocate for sport in schools as I believe that young people learn a lot from all that sport has to offer. It’s such an important part of their curriculum and needs to be encouraged and celebrated at all times.

The netball kit has been designed by one of their graphic design students, Louisa G, and I’m so impressed with how she has incorporated the swan emblem of the school, with my logo and colours and of course, still representing Waldegrave School. They look fantastic!

I loved meeting with the teams when they tried on their new kits and managed to get some great photos of them in action too!

Number 14 on the football team is one of the young adults that came to SA Morton Estates for work experience, and I now continue to mentor, and it was great to see him playing.

Are you a business owner?

Whilst the idea of giving back can feel like a huge chunk of time out of your schedule that you can’t afford, it is such a fulfilling experience – for the student but for you as well. Young people will bring a fresh perspective that is vital in business, and it’s important that they are nurtured and encouraged to have the confidence to apply their skills, knowledge and ideas. Schools all over the country need businesses that will take on work experience students or act as a mentor. Is it something that you could get involved in?

Let me know what you think of these fabulous new kits!

Wishing all students and families a great summer ahead,
