TWICKENHAM ‘HIGH TIDE’ SPONSORSHIP

Raise your hand if you attended the local music festival, ‘High Tide’ in Twickenham recently.   We absolutely loved it.   For those who haven’t heard of ’High Tide’ before, it’s a completely free community festival orchestrated between Eel Pie Records, Discover Twickenham BID, Richmond Council, The Friends of Twickenham Green and a wide range of local Twickenham businesses with the aim to showcase young, up and coming musical talent in our area and also reignite the spirit of Eel Pie Island.   Not only was it the biggest ‘High Tide’ they’ve ever delivered, across 20 stages, but it was also the first time that I was invited to sponsor one of the stages.   I sponsored The Basement Door stage, and it was an honour to partner with Kev Westbury and help promote his brilliant charity.

The Basement Door   The Basement Door is a social community for young musicians aged between 11 and 15. The charity provides support, coaching and resources to these aspiring musicians, as well as, really importantly, a platform to perform.   High%20Tide%20Festival 3
More Than Music

Beyond the musical skills, the young people connected with The Basement Door feel confident in fulfilling their potential. They build confidence, acquire a multitude of life skills and discover new friendships. The charity has already helped 1471 young aspiring musicians and continues to host regular events as much as possible.

Claire and I were invited to chat about the festival and what it meant to us personally. Take a look here:
